cafe Soul Tree

元鉄工所だった建物をリノベーションして作ったというカフェバーが近所にオープンしたんで、

Sとランチをしに行ってみた。

天井の高さが気持ちの良い空間で、冷えた地ビールをぐいっと喉に流し込めば、

なんだかちょっと気分が良くて、嫌いな夏も好きになりかけたりして。

こんな空間が近所に出来たなんて嬉しい限り。また行こう。

こだわりのハンバーガーも美味。

The new cafe that made from a restored 40-year-old steel mill has opened in our neighborhood, so S and I went there for lunch last weekend.

Nice space, cozy atmosphere and good cold microbrew....

They made me almost feel like I love summer! 

Their Special burgers were very good too.

I'll have to go back and try more of their menu.

Tomato

トマトが一番の好物、という訳では無いんだけれども、
他にこんなに綺麗な野菜ってあるかなと思うほど、
真っ赤に熟したその姿には、うっとり見惚れてしまうのでした。

先日は、職場のMちゃんのお誕生日に、ミニトマトで作った宝石箱をプレゼント。


I gave some tomatoes to one of my colleagues M as a birthday present the other day.These tiny red tomatoes look like jewels don't they?


Are there any other vegetables that look so beautiful?

週末の東京は、夜には肌寒いほど過ごしやすい、涼しい２日間。（感謝）

窓から入る涼しい風を楽しみ、それでも夏らしく蝉の声を聴きながら、この日記を書いてます。

子供の頃の夏って、こんなだったよなぁ。

日中は暑くても、夕方になると気温が落ちて・・・・

あぁ、あの夏が懐かしい。

We had a nice and cool weekend in Tokyo. (Thanks!)

I'm writing this while I'm listening to the cicada's chirp and enjoying the cool breeze from the window.

We used to have a summer evening like this when I was a child.

It's hot during the day, but the temperature drops in the evening....

I miss that summer.

The summer has just begun

今日は溶けるほど暑かった！
普段は甘い飲み物が苦手なのだけれど、今日は無性にフラペチーノを欲してしまったのでした。

ふぅ。。。夏は始まったばかり。

It was soooooooooooooooooo hot today!
I don't have a sweet tooth but I couldn't stop thinking about a Frappuccino.


Whew....the summer has just begun....

Mother Farm

昨日は友人家族と一緒に千葉にあるマザー牧場へ。

Sも私も、普段あまりこういう所に来る機会が無いんで、なんだかとっても楽しかった。

動物と戯れるっていうのは、子供の頃からあまり私の得意とするところでは無いと思っていたのだけれど、歳のせいか？なにやら生き物が可愛く見えてくるんでありました。

まあ、恐怖心が消えているということもあるのだろうけれど、予想以上に楽しかった！

誘ってくれたTファミリーに感謝。

We had such a fun day yesterday!

S and I went to the Mother Farm in Chiba prefecture with our friends and their 3year-old son.

I've been thinking that I'm not really an animal person, but maybe I was wrong, because I enjoyed being surrounded by animals so much yesterday. Perhaps, I'm getting old...?
